Whetten Family Reunion and I am behind on blogging

I can't believe how far behind I am with my blog...I missed Tawny's birthday, Vance's seminary graduation and then school graduation.  Last day of school dinner, tons of track meets, honor roll assemblies, piano recitals, and the list goes on and on.  I didn't post activities for this week either.  I'm so lame.  I'm overwhelmed with what I've missed I can't seem to find a good way to get caught up.  So, I'm starting with the right now and that was our family campout.  Here are some pics of my immediate family.  More pics on my FB page because I can't seem to load pictures here very quickly.
I enjoyed Sedona for the very first time in celebration of the Whetten Family Red Rock Reunion 2010.  It was beautiful there, even if it was a little hot, at least the evenings were nice and cool.  We drove up the rolling turd and it performed nicely.  I like sleeping on my king size bed with sheets instead of sleeping bag.  I loved the sound of the creek behind our camper and of course being with my family.  I simply love family reunions.  This was the descendants of a his/hers/ours clan.  Above is my dad and mom.  Of the six children, only Arlene, dad, and Kathy camped with us the entire time.  Tom came for an afternoon, and Alden and Lloyd were unable to make it.  It was hosted by Uncle Lloyd's kids and they did a fabulous job.
Derek loved all the attention, sitting in his stroller, exersaucer, or just being held.
Anny anticipated her own birthday by eating some of Rachel's 16th birthday cake.
Tawny loved hanging with Kylie.
Katy was so excited to get to know some Whetten cousins (I can't remember their names).
Skylar, Kurt, and Connor were like triplets, separated at birth, goofy as all get out.
Drew rode the bike everywhere and had fun trespassing on the golf court near us.  He also liked eating the yummy food everyone prepared.
Marly hearts Daryl.  They are planning another summer adventure soon.
Thank heavens for cell service for Vance.  He was kind of a party pooper.  Being 17 is hard.
We went on a beautiful hike.  I think I only made it about 4 miles roundtrip with this lug on my back and in the sand no less.  Ben and the others made it the full, or close to, 6 miles.
We played in the creek, we sat around and visited.  We made crafts, we had some yummy meals, we rode the bikes and the teenagers even hit a movie one night.  We had fun learning about our ancestors and how important it is for our family to build our homes on the rock, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
I love my family.
