If you know the kind of heart problems my dad has had, you know that I am crazy about exercise. I always have been, I just feel more strongly about it since I know I don't want to die too young - I have too much to do to have to worry about my heart.
Anywho...my Dr. at the fabulous Mezona Orthopedic office has become an old friend, sadly. I came to know him 4 years ago when I shattered my left ankle. I had two sugeries within a year - two separate casts. Within the next year, I got severe tendonitis and had another cast on that leg for 3 weeks. I hurt my leg running two weeks or so ago so I called yesterday to see if they could get me in this week. When the gal came back on the phone, she said Dr. Thomas would love to see me. I went in again this morning but this time it is my right leg. I have severe tendonitis again, where the achilees meets the heel. It is so painful. I haven't slept really well for a week cause the pain is bad even when I'm not walking. So, I got a stiff boot that does the same thing as a cast so that I can keep exercising. Only bad part is that I can only bike or swim. Luckily, I can shower - for those of you who know me, I hate baths, it's like sitting in a cesspool of my own filth, yucky!!
All this exercise for my heart is messing with my legs!!! (Really, I just want attention) don't you feel bad for me? I think I'll try and get me a left foot and be a stormtrooper for Halloween.

OOO! Let's start a new RS Interest Group! We'll call it "Runners With Injuries." We'll get together and limp around and talk about our painful problems! I'll get a sign up sheet going....
Wow, what a cool boot.
Lovin' all the pictures of Anny. So um, she is sleeping through the night. I guess I need to get my butt in gear. My guy is struggling. :)
Cute Boot....glad you FINALLY went to the Dr. to get it checked out, It doesn't appear that it is slowing you down much.
It takes more than a bum foot to slow me down. Besides, now that I have a boot, I can actually walk around and get stuff done without pain. It helps immensly and I don't even think I'll need to wear it the whole 4 weeks.
See what happens when you get released!
