Playing Catch Up in pictures - Birthday, baby shower, family campout

It all started with my birthday, that was on July 18th. I got a new camera. It holds like 800 pictures!! I dreaded uploading them cause my computer is so slow these days - it took me 5 hours. Anyway, here is a recap of the last few weeks:

My Aunt Kathy moved to Nevada and I inherited this can storage shelf thing - you add the cans in the back and they roll to the front. It used to be my Grandma Whetten's and I remember loving to help her stock her cans of tomato soup! It fits nicely in the closet under the stairs and it is on wheels so I can pull it out to stock it.

I got an electronic label maker for my birthday and we have gone hog wild labeling things. I labeled the back of my new can storage thing so I can see where to put the cans and someone else got a hold of it and labeled the baby. Note what it says "Katy is my BFF." I'm still trying to figure out who did it:)

I wanted to go to a D-Backs game so we invited my mom and dad. We had fun pushing my dad in his wheelchair but not so fun watching the D-backs lose. Anny enjoyed herself too, after she pooped her diaper like 4 times and then I prayed for no more cause I ran out of diapers.

This is us out to dinner - we had our dessert first, just in case we ran out of room at the end.

So - the next day (July 19th) was a baby shower thrown by my sisters (family and RS). It was beautifully decorated - I am so grateful for my friends and family who really wanted to do it for me. I received some lovely gifts, not only at the shower, but also from those who couldn't attend. Two favorites things about the shower were all the diapers and wipes, and my fabulous jogging stroller!!! I have been waiting for it to cool off or for the mosquitos to quiet down before we go together too much, but it is awesome!!!

The Bill Whetten family reunion was at the end of July. Unfortunately, Vance was already in school so he couldn't come until Friday night with my sister, Melissa. Ben drove us up on Thursday morning and he had to be home for a meeting on Saturday morning. We were able to have a campfire so it was so much nicer than last year to do it legally:)
There were lots of card games - the girls played together so well! My dad - The patriarch of the family and the reason we are all here - (well, him AND my mom)

Skylar gave out free massages - I missed that one somehow

Ben did the cooking for the Johnson family - he likes to cook but even better...he likes to clean up too.

Marly was a pretty good shot, at least she looks like she has pretty good form. I just love this picture of Tawny, dirty face, ratty hair and all. Drew spent a lot of time cutting this tree with an ax and a hatchet, good times. The baby cousins liked playing with each other as did the bigger cousins. Skylar got burnt by a marshmallow cooker (careful, we have learned that they are hot.) And, I just love this picture of Tawny.

Looks like life's been fun! I want one of those can/shelf things but certainly can't justify the cost! I could buy a lot of food storage for that price! Where did you go camping? It looks like a nice place!

We camp up by Forest Lakes, about 40 minutes outside of Payson on the rim. It is really beautiful there this year, even if it was a little wet.
