Tawny turned 5 on Tuesday. We had our traditional birthday party in bed so she could open her family gifts. When I sat on the bed to wake her up, she sat right up and said, "today is my birthday? Now I am your big baby!" That's because I told her she would always be my little baby, except when she turns five and the new baby comes, she will be my big baby. (I should add that Vance will always be the biggest baby!) Months ago, before I found out I was pregnant, I was dreading this day because she was the last of my kids to turn 5 and that meant kindergarten was right around the corner and I would be all alone. Funny how Heavenly Father changes our plans like that. Anyway, here are some pics of Tawny as she has grown up.
Tawny was named after Luis Stevens best friend on the popular kids show Even Stevens, we just loved the name and the show.
She's always been a great camper - this was a ward campout when she was about 3 months old.

Camping in Utah, she's about 15 months, she doesn't mind getting dirty.

Tawny is our biggest Hornets football fan!
She's also one of the biggest fans of little league baseball/softball - she rarely misses a game.
She is a great swimmer - she has to be to keep up with her siblings!
Heavenly Father knew that her mom needed a good baby so she could take care of all the activities that a mother of 6 needs to do, He gave me a great sleeper.
Heavenly Father also blessed Tawny with a built in best friend in Merrek. They are only 3 days apart and there is nobody Tawny would rather play with more than Merrek.

Princess dress ups are a favorite with Tawny and Merrek.
Tawny is a dream child. She is thoughtful, loving, loveable, and everyone likes her, she had such a fun birthday - one of the highlights was (we had twenty places to be that day) when Grandma and Grandpa Whetten called her and left birthday messages for her on the answering machine.
she is looking forward to her birthday party with some girls from her primary class and her cousins.

Happy Birthday, Tawny! I had the same idea to put some pics of Merrek as a baby but never had time....I have some cute ones of those two as babies.
I am very glad that the two of them get along so well.

What a cute little girl. Is she going to kindergarten this year? Kendra is starting Kindergarten in July at Eduprize. Where is Tawny going to go to Kindergarten. She is so cute.
She's going to the elementary school right in the neighborhood, she is so excited!!
