I love Sunday

OK, I've already posted how much I love Sunday dinner, especially the day after I pick up my produce co-op. I won't mention that again. I also love Sunday because usually my kids play so nice together, knowing that they can't go out and visit friends, we don't watch t.v. or surf the internet, so they make up games and get along cause they have to. Well, the best part of Sunday for me is our ritual of Sunday night movie. We always set aside Sunday night (except for when we have meetings or our big extended family FHE). This tradition is sacred to me. I treasure my night with the kids and Ben cause usually 6 nights of the week, we are crazy busy. I love how the kids assign seats to everyone, we rearrange the furniture, pull out mattresses and blankets (especially in the winter), and Ben always gets his recliner. (Well, only for a few more weeks, babe, the chair is calling me and my protruding stomach.) We watch all kinds of movies; cartoons, princess movies, Star Wars, action/adventure. Today was Vance's turn. He picked my all time favorite Sunday night family movie, the Tom Hanks written and produced, That Thing You Do. I can tell you all my favorite lines. "You're talking jibberish." "All day at the dentist?" "Some guy in a really great camper wants to put our song on the radio, give me a pen, I'm signing, you're signing, we're all signing." "Guys, Chad fell down." "Do you know what those are? Presidential flash cards?" "You are my biggest fan." Anyway, I hope my VHS copy never dies cause I don't know what I'd do. Here's what we look like on Sunday night.

I tried posting pictures all day yesterday and had the same thing come up. I just watched that movie last weekend! I LOVE IT! It's nice to know there is someone else out there like that! I, too, hope my VHS copy lasts... We all get a good laugh everytime the kids try and jump over a post outside a store and another kid says, "Guys... (DJ)fell down..." We have a similar family movie night every Saturday night. I suppose that Saturday nights will become occupied with other things soon with the kids growing up getting into those teenage years. We treasure the time for now!

I like to sing (while snapping) "I quit....I quit...I quit...I quit, Mr White." when I get frustrated. But you have to do it with a smile, so it makes me happy. I also like "Where was I? Oh, playing songs on my guitar!"

Our movie day turned into Sunday too. I really hate it because I want the Tv O F F on Sundays! *sigh*

Good News - we are now watching John Bytheway shows on BYU TV on Sundays. At least that is somewhat churchy.

What a wonderful tradition! That is one of the things me and my siblings did on Sunday because we weren't allowed to watch TV. It was usually a Disney movie, and half of the time we all fell asleep before we even made it through half the movie! (I think it is those Sunday nap ZZZZ's!) That is something your kids will remember for a long time!

Oh...as far as the posting pics goes...I was having the same problem, so I shrunk the picture (to about 500 KB's) and it worked fine. I don't know what the deal is though! I am glad to know I am not the only one experiencing that problem.
