Ultrasound Yesterday

No, for those of you who are wondering if I "caved" at the ultrasound and found out what I'm having, sorry to dissapoint you. I know of three people who told me they wouldn't be able to stand it, and two people specifically said not knowing what I'm having is going to drive THEM crazy. That cracks me up. Maybe I did it just to bug YOU!!

I did have a wonderful ultrasound, the first time I was able to actually make a recording of it (wasn't able to do that even 5 years ago), and I didn't have to have a full bladder!! That part was highly enjoyable. I had an impression on my way to the ultrasound that this baby was coming to our family for a reason. It is definitely getting me to fully realize the miracle of life and how truly blessed I am to be bringing this baby to the earth. This baby will be loved beyond words, and I can already express my love and desire for he/she to have a wonderful and fulfilling life. I would never ask for his/her life to be without challenges to overcome, but I know that with the help of my Heavenly Father and my wonderful immediate and extended family, this baby is going to make the world a better place. That's all I can say in my highly hormonal state!

I should also state that because of my "increased maternal age," I may get another ultrasound in a few weeks. I guess there are some benefits to being old and having a baby:) If anyone has a scanner, can someone help me scan in my favorite photo from the ultrasound? It is obvious from the photo that he/she is a Johnson athlete already.

I need to see the ultrasound pictures so that I can come to my own conclusion as to the sex. I can't sleep at night. :) j/k But seriously.

DeAnna, I'll do you one better, you can watch the video. Except for the part where she looks at the "parts" she turned off the recording. You might have to wait like the rest of us.

Oops, I guess I could've read your blog instead of bugging you during you run this morning. I think it's great you're not finding out. You are stronger than I, I am one of those women who must know. Maybe at number 7 I won't find out either!

I have a scanner. :)

It drove me crazy when my youngest sister didn't find out the sex on her first baby but now I'm over it...less stuff I buy for the baby though. :)

I really like not finding out the gender of our babies, makes D-day so much more enjoyable (and I know 'cause I've done it both ways)!

I believe that you really can do hard things because I for sure couldn't stand not knowing what I'm having! I suppose it's more cost effective though. I start buying stuff the moment I find out if it's a boy or a girl.
