Yesterday I got my fruits/veggies from the coop, and it was the best basket ever. I almost got just one basket, but glad I ordered two, like usual. No joke, there was strawberries, blueberries, bananas, oranges, tangerines, red onions, red potatos, lots of green beans, cabbage, carrotts, corn on the cob, and more. It was really a basket full of the kinds of veggies and fruits we like. So, we had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and corn on the cob for our Sunday dinner. I felt like a farmer eating from our crop, ya know? Except I don't have a garden...yet. I spent $30 on about $100 of produce. You should have seen Vance mixing up the raw meat and all the stuff that goes into meatloaf. Drew shucked and cleaned the corn, and Skylar snapped the green beans, what a family fun time (for me).
To go with our bounty of veggies, we had meatloaf that came from a cow that Grandpa Johnson had bought and had butchered for us. I really don't like hamburger and we eat very little of it, but this is so lean and delicious, I might change my mind. (not really, I think I will just get used to eating it more often since it was a gift for Christmas.) I cooked 3 so I can freeze two for later on. Yummy comfort food, just like when I was a kid!!

I always forget the deadline for the co-op! I need to figure it out and actually write it down. That sounded like a great one!!!
Go to the website bountifulbaskets.com and get signed up for the newsletter. They always send me it the day before so I can't forget.
This is a good time of year for the co-op. We have had lean times where we don't get anything we like (yucky squash!)
What time is dinner on Sunday?
Fancy! I need to get down with the co-op too. I am glad I happened upon your blog and half of the wards' as well! How fun!
I love the Co-op! We skipped last week but we typically do it every time. If you aren't sure about trying the Co-op give it atleast one try. I'm hooked.
