YW in Excellence

I wish I could remember the definition for the word Excellence that the Bishop shared with us. Something like Excellence is not just working towards something until you get it right, it's working on something until you can't get it wrong. What a great program lastnight at the stake center with Marly. I only wish Ben could have come. The girls all made a showing as I

had to take Katy and Tawny since Ben and the boys were at football and Vance was at mutual too. The theme this year was Daughter of a King. Lots of bling for the princesses of Sierra Ranch Ward. As they each shared something about their project they worked on this year, I remember being in YW and working on my personal progress goals. I had some learning experiences for sure. Marly talked about taking all the nursery toys home and disenfecting/cleaning them, she did some child development research and created a pamphlet about what she learned, and she gave about 5 hours of service babysitting for Relief Society and one of her YW leaders. I can't believe my baby is growing so fast!! I hope she treasures her medallion like I treasure mine. I wish I would have though to wear it lastnight. I'll wear it on Sunday if I remember. The little girls were so good throughout the whole program but Tawny couldn't remain awake and reverent so she fell asleep and snored. It was amusing, she was mad at one point that she didn't get a crown like the other girls.

Um...."punk kid neighbor?" Is that all I was to you Stacy? And I thought you loved me.

What a fun time in life, it is to bad when at that age we usually do not realize how awesome it is. Enjoy it Marly! Way to go :)

I do love you Ryan, but you were a punk kid (trampoline/knife, marker/traced body on front of house, need I go on?) It was hard to find some words to describe you, I guess I could have used future chiropractor, but it doesn't seem funny. I call you punk with all the love in my heart. Donny is a punk too.

Congrats to Marly! I don't think I was ever as well mannered as a Young Woman as she is. I was kind of a jerk!

I had stuff to do, give me a break already!! There are football games to attend and teenagers to be responsible for, ya know?

I'll take responsibility for the trampoline, but the marker was Michael. I guess we're all punks.

Well, did you see my post about the vinyl floor and the hole in my wall? I have punk kids too. No worries, the good thing is that you grew out of it and you are a responsible, intelligent, and hard working man now. Even Reagan could be a punk and then that's what we call a "payback."
