Things I Love

I love family - My mom came and spent the weekend while my boys went to Utah for their annual trek to watch BYU football. Since my dad went with them, mom came here. She helped me clean out my closet (another thing I love, clean closets!) and organize my craft area. We got rid of a lot of stuff that I had been hanging on to for years. We watched movies until really late, ate popcorn and yummy mix. Lastnight, when the boys got home, they went over to draft for their fantasy football teams, all the girls came here. We ate Hawaiian haystacks and homemade ice cream and watched a movie.

I love homemade ice cream - There is nothing better than homemade. In fact, I think I'll eat the last of the leftovers before the kids get home from school!

I love traditions - Even though I missed my boys this weekend, it is their tradition and I love it. It is a chance for them to spend some quality time together. I have lots of traditions like our Sunday night Family movie night (we don't watch t.v. on Sunday except as a family that night and we each get a turn to pick the movie). We always go out to eat at the Big Apple on the last day of the school year. We counted how many years we have been doing it and this year will be the 25th anniversary. We've had the same waitress every year almost too (she's my parents' neighbor). I even love football traditions like our popsicle party when my certification book is complete (when everyone has handed in the paperwork and I get to stop nagging). I love Christmas eve dinner of soup and rolls and opening the sibling gifts before we go to bed.

I love sushi - It may sound crazy but I'm even o.k. that not everyone loves it because when I'm alone in town and I want some, I just get it for me and I don't have to share! I love it more when I have someone to enjoy it with. Ben likes it sometimes and Marly does if I get takeout and bring it home to share. I love sharing with Jana cause she likes it as much as I do. I hate the new restaurant in Queen Creek called Sushi Creek cause it is terrible, and I was so looking forward to more sushi more often:(

I love teenagers - Everyone said that teenagers will make you want to pull your hair out, but I love mine! They are so much more fun now and like to do the things I enjoy. Sports, friends, hanging out, movies, etc. We can relate better now cause it's been so long since I was a kid, I think I forgot a lot. I still remember being a teenager though and it was so much fun. I love it when the kids come over to hang out cause it reminds me of when we used to hang out and eat ice cream at my house after the Saturday night dances. I wonder if anyone enjoyed that as much as I did?

I love my life - who would have thought I'd be this deliriously happy?
