Paper Crafting

I started with the card club because I love cards.  I enjoy writing them and sending them.  I do not enjoy making them...until lately.  I've created quite a little stash of paper crafting supplies and I love it.  I'm not going overboard in any way, I just have a few things that I'm "storing" for my mom and dad until they get a new place.  Anyway, I invited the neighbor girls over so we could have some fun card creating.  I told them they could make five.  After the first one was finally finished, I decided that we would only make two.  They turned out totally cute, but it wasn't the relaxing and fun project I hoped it would be.  I like it better when I am doing it all by myself, but that is selfish, isn't it?  OK, I like doing it when it is a smaller group and I don't have to help anyone and they do it the way I think they ought to do it.  Did I just say that?  Oh well.  I thought I would snap a picture of proof that I did something with the girls this summer.  Or, at picture of the cards they made...I didn't make any.

Your post is exactly why I always am silent when people ask me if my kids love to make cards with me.
They don't make cards with me, except on a rare occassion...when I've prepped and prepared myself mentally that it WILL be different than my norm.
I was introduced to cardmaking as an escape...and it always has been...
Now I need to find a way to make it a bonding experience too.
Good job on snapping the picture.
I'm proud of the girls and the five (oh, whoops, TWO) cards that they made...more importantly, I'm proud of you for supervising them and helping them find their creative sides too!
