I saw a preview for the movie The Secret Life of Bees months and months ago. I bought the book (I always read the book first) and by the time I finished reading it, it was on DVD. I used my netflix and got it a few weeks ago and I just had time to watch it yesterday. Marly and I matched socks and folded laundry while we watched. Sad movie, but interesting. Book is better.
Anyhow...I go outside today to look at the garden and I turned my head and saw this:
The bee removal company will be here between 6-7pm tonight.

Heck, free honey.
Guess they are not so secret after all...
I know how that is! We have had so many beehives in our backyard! (Okay, 3 to be exact.) We spray and get rid of one, then they seem to find a new bush or tree to make a new one in! I wish they would just stay away! Freaks the kids out from playing in the yard! :(
AAuugghh! That is so scary! We had just a few little wasp mud packs last year, so far so good this year. At least you found them before someone got stung!
By the way, I am giving away 4 tickets to Disney on Ice for April 9th, stop by and leave a comment if you are interested and pass on the info to anyone else you think might want to go!
So, our friends want us to HOST their beehive on our acre this summer, David has not talked me into it yet...your picture illustrates why! Then there would be bee--ees all around. Sigh. How fun for you!
And apparently this picture doesn't do it justice. Donny said it was way bigger than that!
I would be freaking out! Just seeing the picture gives me the heebie jeebies!
