So, I've been a little stressed trying to finish my first semester back in school and also getting ready for the Sacrament Meeting program as the ward choir director. Call me crazy, but this calling is harder than my last one was on Sundays. Lucky for me, I have wonderful people in the choir with wonderful talents, they don't need me, I'm there for comic relief. Anyway, we were blessed (that is how I am referring to the bizarre Christmas Sunday without the normal amount of music and narration) to have a youth speaker and a high councilman so all we did was perform 3 numbers. I love music and how it brings the Spirit to the meetings. But, all I said when I was RS Pres was that I couldn't wait to get released so I could have time to go to choir on Sundays and sing. Now, I can't sing, cause I have to direct. They don't need more altos, the ones we have are the best you ever heard. Anyway, the songs were beautiful and I especially loved singing Silent Night with the piano, organ, choir, and congregation. It was awesome.
I do wish though, that we had taken our family Christmas picture before church, cause then we would have looked our best. Oh well, it is hard to get 9 people all looking good in the same picture. But, here it is - I don't do Christmas cards, so this one goes out in our New Years or possibly Valentine's Day card soon to come.

If that is a picture AFTER church and you are all smiling and looking at the camera - that is a huge success!! Wow! We did not have nearly that much luck. I am hoping in a year or two they will understand what looking at the camera and smiling means. Great picture! I'm thinking about Valentine's cards, too... They'll be more appreciated, right?!
